We do not sell personal data.
Text Theory LLP may share data with:
Some of these providers operate outside your country, so your data may be stored or processed abroad under contractual safeguards and subject to applicable transfer restrictions.
We retain personal data only as long as necessary to operate the App, provide requested features, protect the service, resolve disputes, enforce our Terms, or meet legal obligations. Published content and account data are generally kept while your account is active. Deleted-account data is removed from active systems and may remain in encrypted backups for up to 30 days unless a longer period is required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, tax, payment, or dispute-resolution reasons.
You can delete your account in-app or request deletion through /support/delete-account. Deletion removes your account, profile information, drafts, and published content from active systems, subject to backup retention and legal exceptions described above.
We take reasonable steps to protect your data, but no system is fully secure.
Ithaka is not intended for users under 13. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use the App only with involvement and consent from a parent or legal guardian. Parents or guardians who believe a child has provided personal data can contact us to request review or deletion.
You may access, correct, or delete your data, withdraw consent, or nominate another person to exercise your rights, through the App or by contacting us. You may also ask us to explain how we process your personal data and to address grievances about our handling of it. If you are unsatisfied with our response, you may escalate to the Grievance Officer below, and thereafter to the competent data protection authority or appellate forum in your jurisdiction.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above and, where required, provide additional notice.
For any privacy question, request, or complaint, contact our Grievance Officer. We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and resolve them within the timelines required by applicable law.
